Recommendations for Facial Hair Removal for In-Program Clients

Many clients will inquire about acne-safe hair removal procedures. The best option for facial hair removal is shaving with an electric shaver OR a single blade razor using Ultra Gentle Cleanser as a lubricant/shaving gel . This makes sure no pore cloggers are being used (such as from a shaving cream or foam) & cuts the hair off at skin level rather than below the surface of the skin which can cause ingrown hairs and irritation.  The hair creates a wick that helps remove oil/etc. from the pore.

We do NOT recommend any waxing, plucking, dermaplaning or laser hair facial removal for in-program clients or acne-prone skin in general as these procedures can cause ingrown hairs, sensitivity, increase in acne, etc.

Eyebrows can be threaded in the program. Plucking and waxing in this area is also okay as long as client does not experience breakouts in this area.
