Policy
- BLT is a numbing cream Clients may opt to have applied before a Dermapen service. On the Zenoti Appointment Book, a BLT is a 10-minute service with a 30-minute gap before their Dermapen service starts. During the 30-minute gap, we schedule other Clients for services.
- Because of the sensitive timing, we require Clients receiving BLT to arrive 5 minutes prior to their scheduled service.
- It is the responsibility of the Front Desk to text Clients the day of their Dermapen with BLT a canned message reminding them of our policy. The canned message is named 'BLT Tardy Text - Morning of Appt'.
Tasks:
- If the Client is 5 or more minutes late, the esthetician will determine if they have time to apply the BLT numbing cream.
- If the Esthetician is no longer available to apply the BLT numbing cream, and the Front Desk has prior approval to do so, they will cleanse the Clients skin and apply the BLT numbing cream.
- If the Front Desk has not been given prior approval, they will give the Client the supplies (Face Reality Ultra Gentle Cleanser & BLT numbing cream) with an instruction sheet so they may go to the bathroom to cleanse their skin and apply the numbing cream.
Client Instructions for BLT numbing cream application:
- Cleanse skin with Face Reality Ultra Gentle Cleanser
- Pat dry with a towel
- For Full Face numbing cream application: Split up numbing cream into 4 sections - forehead, left cheek, right cheek, and chin.
- For Partial Face numbing cream application: apply to areas needed, extending slightly past these areas.
- Massage cream into skin for 45-60 seconds.
