- Photographs may be taken.
- Client is placed in treatment chair, supine and in a reclined position.
- The client lays on top of the blankets. Or draped if they care chilled.
- Wrap hair with towel or headband.
- The skin will be cleansed with Ultra Gentle Cleanser, with appropriate cleanser and soft gauze, removing all make-up except eye make-up.
- Analyze the skin and determine the appropriate Hydrodermabrasion tip and setting to use during the treatment.
- Degreasing the skin is optional, depending on the skin type and sensitivity. Glycolic Toner or 70% alcohol may be used. REMEMEBER: the dryer the skin, the more intense the peel will be.
- Fill the “SERUM” container with the Skin Deep solution.
- Attach the Double Exfoliation tip to the handpiece.
- Turn on the machine by flipping toggle switch on back of the machine.
- Press the Hydra button on top so that it is lit red.
- Adjust vacuum on right side of machine. Cover tip to pull solution through the cord to the treatment tip. Once you feel the solution on your fingertips you are ready to start. Higher settings may be used on Chest, Back, Arms, Hands.
- Ask client, “How is the vacuum pressure? Would you like the vacuum higher or lower?”
- Re-adjust vacuum to achieve desired result.
- Proceed with hydrodermabrasion with Skin Deep solution for 1 PASS: Hold the patient’s skin taunt if needed and after each stroke, using your other hand, massage the solution into the skin and catch any drips of the solution.
- Detach the container with the Skin Deep solution and set aside in one of the holders on the cart.
- Apply the Glycolic Solution with a fan brush or your fingers and massage into the skin for 5 minutes. You will need to add water to your fingers to make glide over the skin.
- Remove with warm towel.
- Next, change your tip to the Spiral Deep tip. Working only in the t-zone (middle forehead, nose and chin), turn the head in 180 degree circles so as to focus on suctioning out blackheads and congested pores.
- Detach the container with the solution and set aside in one of the holders on the cart.
- Fill another container with the Peptide or Antioxidant Solution and attach to the machine.
- Cover the entire face, making TWO passes in opposite directions. Adjust vacuum pressure accordingly around the eyes. Be sure to turn down the vacuum before working around the eyes.
- Do not lift the hand piece off of the skin directly, but rather angle the hand piece off the skin slowly to ensure there is no suction on the skin before removing the hand piece.
- Apply appropriate moisturizer and SPF.
- Skin will be stimulated and appear pink.
- Sanitize all implements used, loupe, bowls, and work area (As described in the Policy and Procedures - Sanitation/Sterilization).
