Issues with International Shipping - Customs

If a customer complains about customs issues or import fees, duties, or tariffs you can answer with the following facts:

  • As a business based in the USA, we have no control over foreign countries customs and how they handle, hold, or tax international shipments.
  • We only charge what is costs us to ship an order, and if customs decides to apply further charges or holds, unfortunately we have no authority to challenge this.
  • In such cases, we would suggest making a call or reaching out to customs beforehand, and inquiring if they are able to give you an idea of what to expect for future orders.
  • This website is an international resource for determining taxes and import tariffs from over 170 countries : https://www.trade.gov/import-tariffs-fees-overview-and-resources
