When initially treating acne, these herbs should be used consistently for 4-6 months.  We then recommend a break.  

Clients can stay on Adrenal Formula long term for stress support.  They may be able to reduce to one capsule per day.

While it is not recommended, clients can stay on Vitex or Saw Palmetto long term and may also reduce to one capsule per day.  There is a possibility for side effects or for the body to adapt/become less affected by these supplements if used long-term.  There is not much clinical research on using these long-term.  Hence why we recommend taking a break and only revisiting as maintenance.

When clients revisit these supplements as maintenance, how long they stay on the supplement will vary depending on the situation. 

For example, a client whose skin has remained clear and has not experienced changes in the menstrual cycle may be fine with one bottle.  Whereas a client who is starting to see more breakouts along the jaw and changes in the menstrual cycle may opt to stay on the herb for another 4-6  month cycle.
