Select the appropriate shipping method and package.
- Clients will pay for certain shipping methods. This depends on the amount of products in the order and the location of where the order is to be shipped. The majority of the orders that are processed are shipped Domestically, and via USPS priority flat rate envelope. However, there are some that will ship USPS First Class (Colorado orders, mostly), or in a larger package. UPS will ship either to Canada or another overseas country and either in a padded UPS envelope or a brown box (if the order is large). SS will list the amount and method that the client chose for shipping, however there are often cases where SS does not translate these.
- Domestic Priority Flat Rate Cost is approx. $8.00-$14.00
- Domestic First Class Mail Cost - $3.00-$5.50
- Domestic Small Box Cost - $14.00-$18.00
- Domestic Medium Flat Rate Cost - $17.00-$20.00
- Domestic Brown (Large) Box Cost - $19.00 + Above
International Shipping:
International orders ship through UPS. The system will tell you which method the client chose and what they paid.
- Harmonization Codes - All international orders must have Harmonization Codes, per product. If the order does not have a Harmonization Code, SS will Error and not print the label. The majority of the time, SS will automatically populate the Harmonization Code for you, however if not, these can be found in SS, under the Products tab which populates a list of the items we sell. Click on the items’ SKU and then Click on the Customs tab. Harmonization Code is the third field down. That number can be pasted into the orders’ Harmonization Code field.
- UPS Shipping International - Clients in overseas countries will request this method of Shipping. These orders vary in cost from country/shipping location to items shipped. Clients also may choose Express or Expedited, which also affects the cost. Most orders will likely go in an Express Pak padded envelope (Anything you would ship in a Flat Rate Envelope can be shipped in an Express Pak Envelope). If it is a larger order, it may need to be shipped in a Brown Box.
- The box or envelope needs to have invoices attached, per UPS requirements. These invoices (you will need to print 3 separate invoices) will be placed in a pack that is to be attached to the envelope or box. The UPS packaging can be found in the mail tub on the bottom shelf of the tall unit of shelving.
- The label prints with the method and packaging (just as any other label) then the invoices would print by selecting the Print tab and then Customs forms. These can be printed either in the order or by checking the order’s box. See images below.
When placing the packing envelope, be sure to not place it on the label or envelope seal. Place on the other side of the envelope or vertically, on the other side of the label.
Place any UPS orders in their designated bin at the loading dock.
