CLEANING FRONT AND BACK OFFICE

 

Policy

 

  1. The Office is cleaned by a cleaning company every third Wednesday morning.
  2. At the beginning of every shift the Front Desk is responsible for checking over the makeup shelf to see if it needs to be cleaned, checking retail shelves and desk to see if they need to be dusted, and checking the carpet runners and floors to see if they need to be vacuumed.
  3. At the beginning and end of every shift the Front Desk is responsible for checking the client and employee bathrooms to make sure paper supplies are fully stocked, soap is filled, counter & mirror is clean, and floor is vacuumed.
  4. Cleaning is NOT to be done in the presence of clients.
  5. Trash is to be taken out every night after closing. The Front Desk Associate is responsible for emptying trash under the front desk, trash located lobby, by the makeup station, employee and customer bathrooms, and kitchen trash/recycling if needed.
  6. Trash pick-up is every Tuesday morning. The trash cans must be brought to the curb prior to pick up. Recycling pick-up is every-other Tuesday morning. The front desk associate is responsible for pulling the recycling bins to the curb on Monday evening before the end of your shift.

 

Task

 

At the Beginning and End of the day, the Front Desk Associate

  1. Checks the makeup shelves and cleans if necessary
    • Use All-Purpose cleaning spray to clean surface. Do NOT clean around the products.
  1. Checks the retail shelves and front desk area; cleans if necessary
    • Use All-Purpose cleaning spray to clean surfaces. Do NOT clean around the products.
  2. Checks the waiting area; cleans if necessary
    • Use dusting spray to clean coffee table, replaces Kleenex, straightens up pillows, and replaces brochures (if needed).
  3. Checks the carpet runners and floors; vacuum and sweep every night
    • Do NOT vacuum in the presence of clients
    • Make sure to vacuum all the way down to the end of the treatment room hallway
  4. Checks the client and employee bathrooms; clean if necessary
    • Restock all paper items as needed
    • Restock soaps as needed
    • Wipe down counters with All-Purpose cleaning spray and mirrors with Windex
    • Clean the toilet bowl with toilet cleaner and brush
    • Vacuum floors and shake rugs outside as necessary
  5. Takes out the trash every night before the end of your shift. The Front Desk Associate is responsible for emptying trash from under the drink cart, makeup station, front desk, employee and customer bathrooms, and kitchen trash and recycling.
  6. It is the Front Desk Associate’s responsibility to clean out the refrigerator once a week to ensure its cleanliness.
  7. When it snows or rains, the Front Desk Coordinator steam mops the lobby floor every hour as needed to keep them dry and free of salt.
