Procedure / Policy Overview

Accurately delete and re-do an invoice in InfusionSoft if a mistake was made on an invoice or if the invoice needed to be changed in any way after it was already saved or sent to the client..  


 

 

Task - HOW TO DELETE AN INVOICE: INVOICE MISTAKES AND RE DO'S 

(If the invoice was not charged)

 

  1. Navigate to Slack

  2. Select the ‘duplicate invoice’ channel

  3. Tag Accounting department and ask them to delete the invoice that you need deleted:

Example Script: “Please delete the invoice for NAMEXX from DATEXX for the amount of $XX.  Thank you!”

  1. Create and Email the new invoice to the client

If the first invoice was already sent to the client, then change the Subject of the Email for the New Invoice to REVISED Invoice to make the client aware of the updated invoice.

(If the invoice was charged)

 

  1. Speak with a Manager for follow-up directions

    1. Either need to add a credit on the account

    2. Or charge the client an additional fee

  2. Notify the Shipping Department of any changes to an invoice that was already paid and submitted to ship station
