Split Shipping Orders in ShipStation

Policy 

 

  1. If a product is on backorder for more than 4 days, an order is split and the items in stock are mailed. The items that are on back order are then put on “hold” in ShipStation. Once the product is back in stock, ship it via FIRST CLASS MAIL.

 

Task 

 

When client has products that are on back order for more than 4 days but has other products that can ship, the Shipping Clerk:

 

 

    1. Navigates to ShipStation

 

 

    1. Clicks on ‘Order’ Tab

 

 

    1. Checks Recipient “Client” box

 

 

    1. Clicks ‘Other Actions; Drop Down Menu

 

    1. Clicks ‘Split Shipment’

 

 

 

    1. Selects Product that is on back order

 

    1. Enters Quantity

 

    1. Selects ‘Confirm’

 

 

    1. Selects new order to put on hold and make a note in the order that the product is OOS. (Refer to TSK-405)

 

 

    1. Ships order with products that are in stock (Refer to TSK-401)
      • Makes note to client that other item is on backorder and will be shipped out separately, either on packing slip or through text or email (see TSK406)
