Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is a common surfactant used in many personal care and cleaning products. It's known for its ability to create foam and remove dirt and oil, but it's also a potential irritant as it strips the skin of oil, causing dehydration.  It's comedogenic properties can also contribute to pore clogging and acne flare-ups.
