What to do when a Non-Inflamed client starts to break out in Inflamed

If a Non-Inflamed client starts to breakout in inflamed, first determine the severity of the inflamed breakouts.  While there is not an exact textbook answer to this, here are some guidelines to follow:

If it is a mild inflamed breakout (less than 5), coach the client that we are "detoxing" the skin and bringing up pre-acne that has been hiding under the surface.  For the regimen, continue with non-inflamed.

If it is a moderate inflamed breakout (more than 5) switch the toner and serum to the inflamed products (CH Salicylic Toner and CH Mandelic). These products are less aggressive than the Vitamin A Serum, so it will slow down the purging process.

Once the inflamed is cleared up, go ahead and re-introduce the non-inflamed.

Work them in on an every other day/night basis to ensure the inflamed does not flare-up again.

As for which regimen to start with, begin the inflamed regimen for whatever week they are in the program, NOT the beginning.

You can also put them on SkinOmega to help the skin exfoliate better.
