Acne Gel is a Benzoyl Peroxide water-based lotion used to treat acne-prone skin. It is highly effective in treating acne, but the side effect is that it is highly drying to the skin. Because of this, we have to start clients off using acne med on a "timed schedule".
To prevent dryness, our clients slowly introduce the Acne Gel for short periods of time to their skin over a 2-week time period and finally get to use it all night on the 14th night. Just like our bodies will grow conditioned to the same workout routine if we never change it up, so too will our face stop clearing from acne if we don't increase the use of Acne Med. As such, the Natural Acne Clinic follows the following Timed Schedule in prescribing Acne Gel use to clients.
