Teens:
Start Acne Gel and Serums on the lower concentrations and move up one level at a time
Men:
Prescribe products with sulfur
Combination Acne:
Start with inflamed regimen and reassess on week 7-8. If most of the inflamed acne has cleared, switch to the non-inflamed regimen to tackle the rest of the acne. If the inflamed acne had not cleared by this time, continue with the Inflamed Regimen for the remainder of the program.
Breastfeeding or Pregnant:
Use Moisture Balance Toner and eliminate all Vitamin A products and products with Salicylic Acid. Also eliminate FR Daily SPF 30
Dark Skin, Fitzpatrick 4 +:
Proceed with the best regimen for these clients, given their acne type and severity, but keep an eye out for skin darkening related to dryness and ace gel. Educated the client that while this might happen, the effects are only temporary. If you see this happening, discuss options with the client. If they are happy with the clearing, but unhappy with the darkening, you can encourage them to stay the course, as the darkening is only temporary. If they are unhappy with the darkening then you can start on CC Enlighten or Clove Hill Vitamin A Serum II to start lightening the skin. You can also reduce the Acne Gel down to one level
