Milia

Milia (milk spots) are small, white cysts on your skin. Cysts are filled pockets under the surface of your skin. The most common place to find milia are on your face. Milia are harmless and only affect your appearance.

It's common to confuse the white bumps on your face with whiteheads, which are a type of acne.

What to say to a client who is asking if we treat Milia:

Unfortunately, we are not able to help clear Milia.  Sadly, this an acne imposter that we see often with our clients, and I wish we were able to provide a solution for you.

This condition is generally treated with a procedure, commonly known as de-roofing.  You would need to speak to your doctor about treatments.

I'm sorry I can't be of more assistance.

However, if you have any questions, or concerns regarding your acne, we are here to help.  :)

Thanks, and have a great weekend!
